A visit to the past

The meeting yesterday was well attended, the business part was short leaving us more time for tea and chat! Lovely cakes, then a talk with slides by John Dixon, 'How did you obtain your first pair of nylons'.

WI Book Group

The second meeting of the new Book Group was held yesterday, but it was the first time we had discussed a book..'To Kill a Mockingbird' by Harper Lee.
We also decided there had to be a limit on numbers attending as it could get unwieldy with too many.
The next meeting will be on May 10th at 2.30pm. The book to read and discuss is 'Lives of Women' by Christine D Hickey

A day out..

Yesterday 16 of us went by minibus to Denman College for a visit, tour and lunch..and let's not forget the cream tea..
Despite the rain it was an interesting visit. We had plenty of time to see the bedrooms that are available as well as the sitting and dining rooms. On a fine day it would have been interesting to see the gardens, they looked lovely from the windows.

Aprils lunch

We all enjoyed being back at Wesley House for lunch yesterday. The conservatory is nice and light with great views over a part of Winchcombe not normally seen. And as always lots of laughter and chatter.
