We went on a coach ride round the Black and White Villages of Herefordshire..unfortunately the coach was a little large to get around some of the lanes to villages off the A44, but we did see some stunning houses with very different architecture from the Cotswolds. The day was fine and sunny, so the countryside could be admired with a few leaves changing.
The piece de resistance of the outing was a very good WI tea in Kington. Sandwiches, sausage rolls, scones and cakes, what a feast. We were made so welcome too in the local Masonic Hall.
